Fatima Bio’s Confession: Election Rigging in Sierra Leone

Fatima Bio’s latest social media outburst is more than political drama, it’s a bold, shameless confession of her role in rigging elections, fueling violence, and deepening division within the SLPP and Sierra Leone as a whole.

A Party Gripped by Fear and Fraud

For years, Sierra Leoneans have suspected that First Lady Fatima Bio is the hidden hand behind the political chaos and violence within the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). Now, speculation is no longer necessary. Fatima Bio has shamelessly confessed to her role in the corruption, rigging, and intimidation that have tainted SLPP elections and national politics.

In a recent social media video, dripping with arrogance and hostility, Fatima Bio set out to attack her former confidant, the chronically corrupt SLPP Chairman Prince Harding.

But in the process, she inadvertently confirmed what party insiders and grassroots members have long alleged: SLPP elections are plagued by corruption, manipulation, and violence, and Fatima Bio is deeply entangled in it all.

Voices from the Grassroots

SLPP elections have become synonymous with fear and political manipulation. Brave SLPP women have taken to social media to expose the toxic grip Fatima Bio holds over the party. Many described how she interfered in recent elections by deploying armed security guards, who fired live rounds to intimidate voters.

The women declared openly:

Fatima Bio has ruined our party. She owns SLPP, we’ll leave it to her. What Fatima Bio wants is what will prevail. Only those she supports win elections. So, it is not an election but a selection is what SLPP does.

Rigging Formula Revealed

Rather than deny these accusations, Fatima Bio took to social media to double down on her power play. In her own words, she admitted that she and top SLPP officials always handpick candidates during elections, ensuring only loyalists win.

Even more shocking, Fatima Bio accused Chairman Prince Harding of rigging recent elections for his preferred candidate. But the real revelation followed: Fatima Bio confessed that she and Prince Harding have collaborated for years, using the same rigging methods to manipulate SLPP and national elections.

She didn’t stop there. She admitted to having her armed security personnel present at recent elections, validating claims that political intimidation is her go-to tactic.

First Lady of Division & Decay

Fatima Bio has not only corrupted the SLPP; she has fractured it beyond repair. Under her influence, no SLPP election is free from violence, rigging, or pre-determined outcomes. Her interference has silenced party voices, delegitimized internal democracy, and fueled widespread resentment.

Clearly, the SLPP is a party being held hostage by one woman’s ambition. Her behavior has reduced the SLPP to a playground for cronies, where loyalty to her, not merit or democratic choice, determines political survival.

Our Nation Deserves Better

Fatima Bio’s shameless confessions go beyond party politics; they expose the moral decay festering at the heart of Sierra Leone’s democracy. When a First Lady can boast of election rigging, armed intimidation, and years of corrupt backdoor dealings without consequence, the rot runs deep.

Sierra Leone deserves better than a First Lady who weaponizes her status to entrench division, silence dissent, and suffocate democracy. This nation deserves leaders, not rulers who cling to power through fear, fraud, and the muzzle of a gun.
