Veil of Fatima Jabbie Bio’s Intimidation: The Escalation of Sierra Leone’s First Lady’s Harassment Tactics

In my book, The UNBECOMING Mrs. Maada Bio of Sierra Leone: A Case of First Lady Syndrome, I chronicle the corrupt practices of Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Mrs. Fatima Jabbie Bio, and she continues to prove me right. Her unscrupulous methods have become a dark cloud over the nation, casting long shadows on those who dare to oppose her. Since the publication of my book, Mrs. Bio has unleashed a campaign of intimidation and harassment, deploying hired thugs to attack me on social media and through relentless phone calls.

One of her recruits is a Parliamentarian and wife of the paramount chief of Tikonko chiefdom in Bo. Their alliance exemplifies the extent of Mrs. Bio’s influence and her willingness to exploit it ruthlessly. Today, June 16, 2024, on the Muslim holy day of Eid al-Adha, I received a chilling call from P.C. Andrew Kaikai, a tribal chief in her husband’s stronghold.

P.C. Andrew Kaikai was elected Paramount Chief of Kpanga Chiefdom in Pujehun district in October 2021. He is also the father of President Maada Bio’s appointed minister, who initially served as the Minister of Immigration and is currently the Director General of the Drug Trafficking Law Enforcement Agency.

However, the voice on the other end of the line was not P.C. Andrew Kaikai’s; it belonged to Abdulrahman Mansaray of Tuba village, a young thug known to be on Mrs. Bio’s payroll. Like many others, Abdulrahman has been co-opted into her sinister network, receiving rewards that include a stolen Hajj scholarship for his mother to make the pilgrimage this year.

Although it is not P.C. Andrew Kaikai’s voice on the harassing voice note from his phone, something tells me he gave the young thug permission to use his phone. This young thug has exhausted all the sim cards Mrs. Bio has been paying for because I have blocked each number he called me from. Men like P.C. Kaikai do not even allow their wives to touch their phones, so what’s this young, hired thug working for Mrs. Bio doing with the Paramount Chief’s phone?

This unusual circumstance suggests a deeper ruse, indicating that Mrs. Bio’s abuse of her influence as First Lady, a point emphasized in my book, has penetrated higher levels of power and authority in Sierra Leone in her service to harass her adversaries.

The use of P.C. Andrew’s phone for harassment is a stark escalation in Mrs. Bio’s tactics. It signals her move from employing the most vulgar woman in Sierra Leone (see photo below), who then hired unemployable vagabonds, to now involving prominent tribal and political figures in her vendetta against me.

This new development reveals the depth of her determination to silence her critics and maintain her grip on power and the narrative in our country.

Mrs. Bio has shown herself to be too cowardly to confront me directly. Instead, she hides behind her hired thugs, practicing the principle of mob justice that she has long preached and promoted in Sierra Leone. Her actions speak volumes about her character and the lengths she will go to protect her image and authority.

Mrs. Bio’s relentless harassment is not just an attack on me but a glaring example of her husband’s regime’s modus operandi, using the power of their offices to abuse and silence dissent and perpetuate violence in the country.

Mrs. Bio’s reign of intimidation must be exposed and challenged for the sake of justice and Sierra Leone’s future. Her underhanded ways reveal a deep-seated fear of accountability and truth. Our duty as Sierra Leoneans is to stand against such tyranny, no matter the cost.
